Waymaker India

A fun evening with Amazon AWS team Bengaluru

"we can make this world a better place to live when we make a difference with our hands.”
Nelson Mandela

The above statement was seen coming into its fruition, at a Government school in Bangalore, when the AWS team employees of Amazon, took heart and initiated a program of storytelling and book donation to the Children of the Government school under the guidance of The waymaker Initiative Trust.

The children were thrilled and super excited to have new people come over to meet them and spend some quality time with them. The stories of Akbar and Birbal, and the Foolish Potter captured their attention. The team took an effort to play alphabet games and taught them action rhymes, which was very interactive for the children.

These schools are an amazing platform for children to meet different people and such programs boost their confidence, as many of them come from economically backward families and endure hard situations domestically.

The session conducted by the AWS team of Amazon was such a breather for the kids from their daily routine and made them laugh and break free from their mundane school routine.

The team also donated some wonderful books, for the children and they were absolutely fascinated by them. We can’t wait to put it up in the Library of a Government school, where children can make good use of these books.

Here is a small glimpse of the entire event. The waymaker Initiative is thankful to the AWS team at Amazon for organizing and taking the initiative to help the children of the Government Higher Primary school Bileshivale Bangalore.

“ I had so much fun learning new English words in a different way, thank you so much for coming to our school”
